PLEASE HELP US IDENTIFY THE 12 BEST PATHS OF DUNIPACE & DENNY!

A PICTURE'S WORTH 1000 WORDS
. . .or over 400 bags of litter in one year!

Community Green Initiative began with a poster on the local post office notice board in January 2008:
ARE YOU FED UP WITH LITTER?
IF SO PLEASE COME TO A PUBLIC BRAINSTORMING MEETING!
Forty people came to the meeting, did a lot of venting and then signed up to get to work. By June 2008 we were an officially constituted group but already had several litter picks under our belts from back in 2007. We now hold two big annual clean ups - one in April and one in Autumn - plus assorted smaller litter picks along the way.
We are on hand to help clean up any area of Dunipace and Denny, to help other groups and neighbourhoods set up their own litter events, to liaise with the council on equipment, publicity, volunteers, uplifts for local litter events.
We have received grants to do bigger clean ups - like the one from SEPA to hire Aquaklenz to clean out 10 tonnes of fly tipping from one mile of the River Carron!
We also set up educational booths at local games and fairs and help set up clean-up programmes for them. Our litter work is entirely volunteer, with a goal of making Dunipace & Denny a Litter Free Zone...eventually! Meanwhile, here is a wee photo gallery to give you an idea of the work we do and the fun we have...it's a family thing!
